What makes you think we can't explain love?

You're also completely missing the crucial difference between explaining something and finding evidence that it exists.

I'm afraid you're at least a century out of date with this. Sorry.

large minds are as a fact basically receptive. The poli/sci rationalization being a communal revelation. that explains the race for know-how of atomic technological know-how worldwide whilst secrecy replaced into of the utmost magnitude. the place their large minds worldwide that shared secrets and techniques? So i understand you're touching on 2 those that have the comparable theory on the comparable time. improve that and there you have an concept that comes from better than those 2.

There are natural hypotheses for the origins of love and other emotions. The mother tiger exhibits love for her cub in that she protects it, starves for it, sacrifices for it, etc... This obviously helped ensure the survival of the next generation. Some animals mate for life and romantic love may have its evolutionary origins there. Parents that stick together to raise young may also raise more and fitter offspring as the burden is distributed between two caregivers. Emotions that benefit the survival of communities of animals like primates that live in social groups appear fairly similar although not so nuanced and complex as human relationships. Human love and emotions are also culturally influenced. If all this is too "smarmy" for you I think you are just interested in hearing things that conform to your point of view. Sorry.

Hi Tom,

You ask a good question and I wish I could give a suitable answer.....unfortunately you have me stumped.

All I can say is the greatest minds know love exists, because they see the actions it produces, have felt it, although they can't explain it. Where as a God, they cannot see, and although they see a reaction to him/her, and because they haven't felt him/her, they feel he doesn't exist.

Bit complicated but hope you get my gist.

Take Care xx

how about a mutually shared emotion of affection between two people?

this question reminds me of the one posed in the movie Contact as a way to explain the existence of god. to me it's flawed... it's like saying if you cannot prove love, then by that same logic, god must exist.
