It seems like every other person on here in R&S claims to have chats with God (two way conversations).
Is Y/A some sort of internet psychiatric hospital ? I'm not referring to people who speak to God, that's prayer. I'm talking about people who think hes talking back... that's insane.

Keep in mind, I'm not talking about, you pray to God and you something happens that you interpret as a sign or something along those lines...
I mean people say they talk to God like "Hey God." "Hey Jim" "How's everything with you today God." "Oh you know, same sh*t, different day." "What were the winning lottery numbers again, for this week ?" "Hahaha, Good one Jim, you never stop trying that one do you." "See you God." "See you Jim, and remember, don't do anything I wouldn't do ;)"

Yeah - must be a lot of them "burning bushes" around, eh?

The Lord says, "My sheep hear My voice and they follow Me."
I promise you my friend, when God speaks to you that you will never forget what God says. You may forget everything else that you've ever heard, but you will never forget what God tells you. Yes, I am talking about an audible voice and not just a conscience understanding from Him.
He tells us, "Be still and know that I am God." Sometimes quiet prayer, just sitting and waiting on God is the best prayer.
Waiting for the Lord to speak to us or let us feel His presence.
Oh, I don't believe in psychiatry. I know the Great Healer. He tells me unforgiveness and bitterness are two of the greatest causes of illness. He tells me that "Perfect love casts out all fear, because fear has torment." God is perfect love. You will soon need the Lord. Call on Him and He will answer you and He will show you great and mighty things. Jeremiah 33:3

LOL - I've seen that to some small extent, but not to the extent that you've portrayed here. If you ask me, they need to get back on their meds, put the tin foil back over their head, and hide under the cover.
Now, if you REALLY want to know what God has to say, He's already revealed His will through the Holy Scriptures. You don't need mediums or pscyics or people who think they have "chats with god" to know what God has to say to us.
He said it quite clearly when He said He does NOT take pleasure in the death of the wicked; that He doesn't want ANY to perish in hell forever, but that ALL should come to a place of repentance and faith; and He even cried out to us to Please choose Life, that we may be able to live. (Jesus said "I am Life!")
So, this nonsense about "Burn all fags!" !!!!! or "God hates all sinners!" !!!!! All this is utter and complete nonsense! God is all about Love, infinite, eternal Love beyond our wildest understanding!
Oh, yea - back to the original question - yeah - I talk to God. It's called prayer. God answers by giving me little nudges to do the right thing, and if I'm being too obstinate to listen and obey these small nudges, sometimes He has to use slightly more drastic means to communicate with me.

I even have in me an concept of God. this concept has limitless purpose certainty. i can't be the reason for this concept, because i'm not a limiteless and suitable being. i've got not got adequate formal certainty. in basic terms a limiteless and suitable being could reason such an concept. So God -- a being with limitless formal certainty -- could exist (and be the source of my concept of God). a thoroughly suitable being is a sturdy, benevolent being. So God is benevolent. So God does not mislead me and does not enable me to err devoid of giving me the thank you to maximum appropriate my blunders. it rather is possible for God to create something i can of course and noticeably become responsive to. If God creates something to be self sufficient of yet another, they are diverse from one yet another. I of course and noticeably understand my life as a thinking component (which does not require the life of a physique). So God can create a thinking component independently of a physique. I of course and noticeably understand my physique as a protracted component (which does not require a techniques). So God can create a physique independently of a techniques. So my techniques is a certainty diverse from my physique. So I (a thinking component) can exist without physique. I actually have a "sturdy inclination" to believe interior the certainty of exterior fabric issues through my senses. God could have created me with this nature. If self sufficient fabric issues do not exist, God is a deceiver. yet God isn't a deceiver. So fabric issues exist and incorporate the residences mandatory to them. God is defined as an infinitely suitable being. Perfection contains life. So God exists

Christians often say that - it makes them sound important and significant. GWB makes the claim and that's the most worrying. I doubt that God would have made the mistake about believing Iraq had WMD when they clearly didn't. I think that must have been the devil that George was listening to.

Why would you only have monologue with God. The Bible states that God answers prayers. He does speak to people, not something everyone can hear, but He speaks to the heart, the same way your conscience pricks you when you're guilty.
Prayer is not a microphone to God. It's communication with Him. This implies 2-way conversations.
Is your god an idol that you only talk to him and not him to you?

And yet despite all that interaction with an infallible being, they haven't learned to spell, use punctuation, put together a sentence, form a coherent thought or a logical argument, and they can't seem to behave themselves in public interactions with other people.
What do you suppose they talk about? Couldn't God do a better job of training those people? If you were God, wouldn't you rather be worshipped by well-behaved, well educated people?

I wouldn't want advice from someone as stupid as their god anyway. I mean the guy seperated light and dark before actually having made a light source to separate out, and made plants before they had light for their photosynhetic processes.

I speak to the God without a cell phone even , but it is only one way communication. Hope many people are doing the same. What you say in your letter, is something extra ordinary and I am yet to see those type of people and if you come across please let me know. Yours, VRVRAO

If God exists what is the big deal about Him speaking to people?
Prayer is communication with God; He does speak in many ways but the spiritually deaf will never hear.
The condescending attitude of those who refuse to believe in something beyond THEIR experience only shows ignorance not intelligence.
Your lack of belief will never refute my experience of God.

No but there are fundamentalists on here and fundamentalism really is a psychiatric hospital of belief. Embracing faith to that level means saying bye bye to logic and reason. Few theists ever get them back.
