2-3 days at a time is not a problem. The problem is that the treatment dosage and "toxic dosage" of Tylenol leaves little margin for error. Taking too much Tylenol can compromise your liver. The link below is from WebMD. You can paste it in your browser and check out the information. If you have been and will continue to take Tylenol on a regular basis you should see your Primary Care doctor and the next time you have blood work done ask him/her to run a "liver panel". You won't notice the minimal amount of additional blood they will take and it will show what shape your liver is in at that point in time. Also alcohol and Tylenol do not mix. They are both broken down in the liver and simultaneous use can cause liver damage. Personally, depending on why you are taking Tylenol (acetaminophen) I prefer Advil, Motrin or any of the (ibuprofen containing drugs). It is better for headaches, muscle pains/strains and the like. Tylenol is the preference if you are running a fever though Ibuprofen will reduce that to just maybe not as quickly as Tylenol. Good luck and be careful. Tylenol, is harmless most people think but it is easy to get too much and harm your liver, potentially permanently.

I've taken 15-30 tablets of tylenol 1 daily for about 5 years and have had no ill effects.

Tylenol (acetaminophen, or paracetamol for the Brits) does not work by a receptor mechanism like opiates do. It works by messing with prostaglandin formation via the cyclooxygenase pathway, although the specifics of it's action are debated.

Drugs that work by a receptor mechanism are the ones we tend to develop a tolerance to. Our bodies will actually make more or fewer receptors depending on how much drug is activating them.

Prostaglandin synthesis is an entirely different thing, so your Tylenol should continue to work.

Your use of the drug is completely appropriate, and it should continue to work just fine for you.

No immunity after 3 to 5 days in a month.

Based on the dosage and timing of your taking the pill, I believe you will not become immune, but never overdue any meds. It seems to me that there would be a possibility of such a thing happening if the dosage is too much or taken to often.

You should never take any type of medicine when you don't need it. Vitamins are okay to take, but never medicine. Even ones like Tylenol. And don't take too many. That's why they put directions on the box or bottle.

Thats fine- 2 or 3 days if you have a pain or fever but like 365 days a year is never good for any medicence.

It is possible that you will become immune or addicted to the Advil. See your doctor for advice. They may also be able to give you advice on your leg pain and headaches.

Nope.... try imagine you taking Vicodin or Aspirin or Morphine for fun. It doesn't mean that when u take it everyday and one day u fall and without taking it doesn't mean that u will have no pain. So chill out pl0x, play with whatever you want but no drugs.

liver damage is one long term effect but youd have to eat them like candy for that to happen. Tylenol pretty much does what most pain relievers do, block the receptors in your brain that tell you youre in pain. weird but true.
