So I have been sick for about a good month. It started as mucus and I'd cough and that's when mucus is coming out. No sore throat no runny nose.

I first tried these antibiotics but I think I've been taking them too much throughout the years that those specific types of antibiotics are not useful for me.

I've had to stop medication for a few days sometimes because I have social events where I drank alcohol (probably didn't help). After that, in the past 2 weeks I tried the normal over the counter medicine and still doesn't help...

Should I be taking stronger antibiotics and face possible immunity to that in the future as well?

Or should I just let it get better even though it doesn't seem like it is going away. I am going to see a doctor soon but I just wanted to know if this is a chronic situation where there is constant non stop mucus being built up in my lungs.

Mucus in the lungs - and coughing.

Could be bronchitis.

I think you'd do well to see your doctor and try a few different medications apart from antibiotics.

Perhaps you could try some Salbutamol (Ventolin) or Prednisolone ... these are treatments given to people with Asthma and Chronic Bronchitis. You might find some benefit.

Drink plenty of water.

Avoid caffeine
Avoid alcohol
Quit smoking

I had something like that. The doctor todl me to do the following.
No antibiotics would work on it. It has to go its course.
Use Tylenol extra strength, otc cough syrup with expectorant,
Musinex (otc), use a vaporizer or take hot showers with the steam. Get plenty of rest. Drink lots of fluids.. Eat chicken soup-----I promise she said that. Ha Ha. really. She told me not to work for a week. I did the things she said and got well in about the time frame she said.
(People I don't need your thumbs downs. I'm telling you what worked for me.)
