I have an 18-200mm tamron camera lens for my nikon D80, but the inner lens is dirty with what appears to be dust. Is there anyway to clean it myself? I'm in Iraq so there is really no way for me to get it cleaned by a pro.

Hmm. First you should check if the dust appear in the picture you take.

Set your camera to the smallest aperture possible (say, f22 for instance) and shoot something uniformly bright white, like an overcast sky but I doubt you'll be seeing many of them there so... well you get the idea. Check if the dust appears in the picture with your PC. Chances are it won't show up (many doesn't), but sometimes they do.

I hope the dust won't affect your picture quality though - lenses like that is a delicate piece of equipment and I don't recommend you or anyone except a pro to just unscrew the assembly and try to clean it.

Lens repair/cleaning is not a "do it yourself" project. Lets hope it doesn't affect your image quality.

Best wishes and God bless you
