When growing up my parent's would always tell me that i was adopted because i was so out of control. Well after years of searching for my "biological parents" i came to realize that they were actually my parents.

I feel that we have lost years of our relationship together and now we can't even get together and do shots. It always feel so weird whenever they come to my house and i have to pretend im not home in order for them to go away.

Do you think it's possible for us to reconnect after all the years of damage?? Am I wrong for feeling anger towards them for all these years of lies. All i wanted was a mum whom cared.

You are not wrong to feel anger towards your parents for what they did, but, it is time to be the mature person here and talk to them about this and tell them how you feel. You cannot keep hiding from them forever, so, make the attempt to sit down and talk to them. Best case scenario you will be able to mend the relationship, worst case is they will not be responsive and if that is the case then tell them you no longer wish contact with them.

I would feel just as upset as you do. But there does come a time when you have to ask why and then forgive. What your parents did was a horrible thing! Life is too short to hold on to so much anger.

You need to break out a guitar. Perch out of a window , let loose on a couple of powerful chords, and then belt out a rocktacular rendition of Father of Mine by Everclear. All Your stress, and rage will melt away.

Sorry dude...Use it as motivation and in regards to raising your children when that time comes.

Be the parent you wish you had.
