Larissa,
I do not believe that it was ever in our FATHER'S Wishes to do so. Man has done so many evil things in HIS' Name that they will answer to HIM at the Judgment for it. I feel that such ignorance is over and should remain so. Have a wonderful week.
Thank You,
Eds

Come on Larissa.
Would you like to bring back the purges that were committed in China?
Evil is evil.
Jim Jones was evil and, in my mind, hardly Christian. Same applies to the Inquisition.

But, then, 'Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition'.

Alex, the Inquisition was man trying to do what they believed God wanted done, however it was a horrible mistake. I would like to see the second coming of Christ in power and glory. He would be in total command of the situation and there would be no mistakes.

The inquisition was catholic, not Christian. It should be noted that the genocidal Vatican has never lifted the office of inquistion, it's still there.

We don't believe in the "pope", nor do we follow the genocidal Vatican. We don't believe catholic false doctrines, and we reject the catholic false gospel of works that leads to eternal hell (Galatians 1). So stop grouping catholics and Christians together.

It's sick. It was a sick thing to do and it's sick that some people want it back. I can't imagine what a sick mind conceived the idea that this is what God wants.

Why won't you rather concentrate in making some joys to people and do good things, and leave inquisition questions. You are giving the sick people ideas....

Got a book for ya to check out if ya can find it.

The Encyclopedia of Witchcraft and Demonology.

Not about what it sounds. Basically a chronicle in encyclopedia form of the persecutions in Europe by Christian Institutions. Crazy man.

1) That was the Roman Catholic Church, which was far from Christianity in that time.
2) Protestants like me were persecuted by them.
( So I am a bit offended by your remark - millions died who were Christian )

No. I would not want the Inquisitions back.

bug YA

I'm atheist, and as such I believe that we all have the right to believe in what works for us.

I think people, as a whole who dispute the irrefutable evidence of evolution need a good slap of cold, hard evidence, but their ostrich ways will always prevent them from seeing the truth. Never mind!
