My Shih ztu had puppies 2 weeks and 3 days ago. and I wanted to know how many weeks do you start giving them dewormers. please I need seriuos answer this is not a joke. I don't want any thing to happen to the puppies they look find and they are very fat so all I want is to know that, Thank you for you time

You need to get a wormer from the vet, specifically designed for use in young puppies. Drontal and I think a couple of others make a worming syrup, which is probably more suitable than a tablet. Don't get anything from a pet shop- many products are NOT safe in very young puppies.
They need to be wormed now. Almost all puppies are either born infected with worms or acquire infection shortly after birth in the mothers milk. Treating is essential- heavy roundworm infection causes problems such as gastrointestinal upset (potentially obstruction if the burden is heavy enough) and weight loss, and others such as hookworm can cause such severe anaemia due to blood loss that the puppies can die.
You need to worm them again at 4, 6, 8 & 10 weeks. When they go to new homes, tell the owners that they need to be wormed again at 12 weeks, then at 4, 5 & 6 months.

Ask your vet for the right trade mark.
There are liquid de worm formula in the pharmacy you can give.
Don't wait to long, you will see puppies always have worms, they get them from mom. Worms may bring other deceases with them, so ask your vet, but also on the package you will find a lot of info. Here some links about dogs and worms.

I worm ( using form the vet not over the counter) at 2,4,6,and 8 weeks old you should also do the mother at eh same time
I also give the first vaccine at 6 weeeks and again at 9 weeks

I give Nemex 2 at 2, 4 and 6 weeks. Ask your vet for advice.

actually, it depends upon the health of the pup. but mostly it should be 3 months old. i have my pup dewormed right away when he reached 3 months. but if you want to be sure, ask your vet. i'm sure he/she will give a good advice. i did it. and that was my advice. love your dog.
