A sick joke?

Someone once said "there is a God sized hole inside of man". There is an emptiness inside us that only a Deity can fill. It is our choice as to what we will believe. Will we believe in a god who is awesome, who flung the stars out from his fingertips and made us from the dust of the earth breathing his breath into us? Some of us even believe that he created us, not the other way around. We can believe that he loved us so much that he would die for us. Yes, that is why. That is the only answer I can give.

Because onacounta his innate blasphemous nature along with the undeniable fact that man MUST worship SOMETHING!!! If they do not worship the Creator, they, still, must worship something or someone ~ even to the point of placing themselves above all else in the universe ~ thus making themselves their particular god. With the situation commonly referred to as the "Original Sin" being, basically, of a blasphemous nature ~ it is something that has hung on and stuck with us throughout the ages. Most folks seem to think that to commit "blasphemy" is to go out into the street and shake your fist toward the heavens and shout out, "I'll do things MY WAY, ya old coot" ~ directing their foolishness toward God. Well, it ain't too very much awfully smart; but, it ain't blasphemy, either. To commit blasphemy, one must take upon themselves ~ the prerogatives of GOD. That means that MAN believes himself to be able to ESTABLISH things that only GOD has the authority to establish ~ such as sin. Man can REPORT on what GOD has declared to be sin; but, they cannot, validly, ESTABLISH what is sin and what is not. That is GOD'S SOLE RIGHT to do. Just like it is GOD'S SOPLE RIGHT to establish the parameters of TIME!!! He is the One Who created TIME; and, as such, is the ONLY One possessing the valid authority to establish its parameters. Still, when GOD said a day goes from sundown to sundown ~ rome came along {fulfilling the prophecy in Daniel 7:25} and BOASTFULLY declared, "NO, the day begins when **WE** say it does ~ in the middle of the night!!!" Further, GOD said the MONTH begins on the NEW MOON; but, rome came along and said, "NO, the month starts {haphazardly} throughout the year either 28, 29, 30 or 31 days {according to our ancient, pagan, sun-worshiper's calendar} and, the whole world will follow OUR rendition of time." They didn't stop with their blasphemy, there, though. They continued when they discovered that GOD said the YEAR {Rosh Hashanah ~ sp.} begins at the Pascal New Moon, here came rome and said, "NO, the year begins in the dead of winter on what we call january first." and, SOMEBODY has been LYING TO US all these years!!! In answer to your specific question ~ man has had a superb teacher / mentor in the creation of personal gods {illustrated even further by all of the statues revered or worshiped in the church} and, it, simply, fulfills the innate need for us to have something to worship. If we do not worship the TRUE God, we will worship a satanic god ~ either of our own creation or the creation of someone else. That, by the way, is one of the most IMPORTANT possessions we {as mankind} possess ~ the power to create a god.

When I first looked at this question I thought it said "Why did god create man?" lol. But since that's not the case, I'm not going to answer. Well I'm answering, but not how you would like me to I'm sure.

Hi.....

Man conjured up 'god' in his imagination!

God itself, does 'not' exist!!!

Early man needed to have reasons for his own existence, looking up into the stars, he/she wondered why and how he came to exist!

After time, different civilisations had imagined 'many' gods and goddesses, of which the 'god' of the three main religions today, had evolved from!!

Today a lot of humanity has realised that the beliefs of our forefathers, is taboo and myth!

Unfortunately, some people still believe in this fiction and live in a state of delusion!!!

MAN MADE 'GOD'...... IN HIS 'OWN' IMAGE!!!!

In order to explain how he came to be here and to explain why the World was created.

The concept of 'God' also provides some comfort during hard times and explains what happens after death.

Moses created the 10 Commandments (supposedly given to him by 'God') so that he could control his tribe more easily and give them some common structure to his fledgling society - The Israelites.

That's a good question. I believe God created man- and then man made themselves gods. In other words, took God out of the picture and made themselves more important than Him.
