you're being overly simplistic. For the a million,000th time, repeat after me: faith would not start up wars, people start up wars. Neither WWI nor WWII became started by means of fact of religion. the two Germany's and Japan's wars of agression had not something to do with faith and each thing to do with nationalism. the american Civil conflict, wherein greater people have been killed than the different, additionally had not something to do with faith. Neither did the chilly conflict. whether there have been no religions and no countries, people could nonetheless combat over financial themes, race, land, aspects, you call it. people have a limiteless skill for looking issues to disagree approximately and combat over.

And your solution would be what? To ban all religion, to eradicate the world from religious people and religious beliefs?

Why because we all know - I mean it is plainly obvious - that a world without religion, where man was free to pursue his own selfish will, fleshly desire and wicked schemes - would be SO much better!

We have religion because man is inherently a spiritual being; we all have a desire to worship something whether it be God or science.

Men start wars... some use religion as an excuse.

not religious people per se, but practitioners of dogmatic religions.

Once religion deteriorates to dogma, it becomes more about politics and control than spirituality, and it becomes very vulnerable to the notion that one has a divine mandate to destroy anyone different.

Non-dogmatic religions tend to respect and appreciate differences, and to favor getting along over smiting "enemies."

Humans are a very violent animal, they kill each other even though it's clearly insane. Luckily, im a highly intelligent platypus. Religion is just one of those unfortunate things, like a pimple.

Because the majority are right-handed.

I've never started a war and I'm left-handed.

That's my weak logic and I'm sticking to it.

"Why do we have religion"

Because there have always been - and always will be - people who, for whatever reason, cannot or will not think for themselves.

"Why do religious people start wars?"

Three reasons: POWER, GREED, and SELF-RIGHTEOUSNESS. (Pretty hypocritical, eh?)
