So I made a large deposit in my account which appeared as an available balance the other morning. I made several purchases until my check card got turned down. I called the bank and they said they pulled the check because it's "pending verification." I asked if this meant the check was written by someone with insufficient funds, which I was told no. Does anyone know how long it takes for a check to be verified with this bank?

I dealt with those bastards for a few years before making the switch to Wachovia. Being open on Sunday is no replacement for good service. They screwed my account up on several occasions just for fun, it seemed.

From Jersey they were a good bank if that is the one you mean here.
