We are all going to leave the planet, and everything and everyone we know, sooner or later. Are you cool about dying, making your transition, or what ever term you use for it?

Good question! Yes, I have, and yes, I am. This is JUST MY OWN PERSONAL BELIEF. I don't believe in "death" the way most people do. To me, it's not an ending, but a metamorphosis, similar to that of a caterpillar becoming a butterfly. When our physical bodies ultimately stop working for us for whatever reason, we merely "shed" them and return to our original forms - our souls. Those who have gone on before us (family, friends, soulmates) are right there to welcome us to the other side. And the other side is a pretty cool place. What's to fear about any of that?

I don't believe everything I read these days, but a book that I recommend to people is "Journey of Souls: Case Studies of Life Between Lives", by Dr. Michael Newton. Very intriguing.

Come to terms with it? Not really. I accept that my body will die, but I have been created (evolved according to some, I won't argue the point for the moment) with an innate tendency to struggle to live and not to die. So I can't say I have totally come to terms with the fact. I will not just lie down and "let it happen". On the other hand, I have a future hope, and so death does not hold terrors for me. But I will still resist it with all my strength. In a sense, the person who is me will not die. My body will be destroyed, but that is simply my present dwelling place, which will eventually be replaced. That doesn't take away the ugliness of physical death. Only, with Paul, I can ask: "Death, where is your victory?"

I picture death as if I was standing on the very edge of a high diving board. I have been hearing about this diving board all my life. I woke up on morning and I found myself on the diving board and there is about 1000 people lined up behind me, waiting to jump off. I cant turn around. I cant go back down the ladder. And I cant see what is below the diving board. All I can do is jump off. And so I jump. That's the inevitability of my own death.

I have come to realize the inevitable event of death in my life.I don't like to die but I have accepted it and I will not be unhappy if I die after doing as many good deeds as possible.

well, considering that everytime the sun rises, we are one day closer to death...yea, sure...death is a coming. No fears. I stare it in the face and laugh! Mwa Ha Ha Ha Ha! Besides, why fear the inevitable when its something you cant control?

I'm 25, it's not something I worry about.

In fact, I worry more about being old & alone.
In my family we live a long time, my dad's side they're almost 88 each & my mom's mother made it one month short of her 98th birthday, her husband my grandpa died when I was 6.

Anyhow, figure I've got a long life ahead of me.

Intellectually I have, but I haven't yet accepted it in my core being.

Once you know it in your core, you don't procrastinate, you don't dawdle, you live every day as if it were your last.

And I don't always do that. So I know I have not fully come to terms with my own mortality yet.

Yes I have accepted it. Thought it doesn't really matter if you "accept" it or not, you are still going to die. I wouldn't want to live forever anyway, it would get tiring after awhile.

Actually I've been alive for over 400 years. I can't die for some reason. It's really beginning to be a problem.
