You'll be fine with both but you'll want to get the more expensive one. You might not want to use all of the feature it offers, but at least you'll get higher guide number.

High volt battery set? What for? Most camera flash use AA batteries - either alkaline or rechargeable NiMH would be fine.

I second "dodol" about getting the top of the line.

I learned long ago its always better to have a feature and not need it than to need it and not have it.

If Olympus offers an external "power pack" and you plan on doing a lot of flash photography it might be a good investment. An external battery set should give faster recycle times for the flash and is probably rechargeable.

IMO a good quality off-camera flash bracket would also be a good purchase. Stroboframe is an excellent choice. If Olympus offers one you might check it out also.

I've never used a flash mounted on the camera, except for a Minolta 110 SLR which is part of my camera collection.
