They are just people, like the rest of us. Some are kind; others are not. Some show respect; others do not. Some are open-minded; others are not.

atheists are usually good people. theyy see all the evils in this world and find it hard to believe that an all powerful and loving GODwould allow such things to happen. they also see all the horrible things done in the name of GOD and it bothers them. these are things that i as a christian struggle with myself.
we as christians are responsible for turning people awy from GOD by the bad example we set. insted of judging and condemning people we should be doing more to feed the hungry, free the oppressed, and help those in need.

... in the off chance that you want to know what an atheist thinks of christians, I have to say they are human just like me.
In my group of friends, we have peoples of various faiths. And we're all smart as hell. It's great, and craps on the notion that any particular group is intellectually inferior, or different.
Yay for humans! I think we are humans first and foremost; that is something that religion will never change. With focus and dedication do we improve the world, not with division or stereotype. :)

I don't think that all atheists are the same. I believe that some are searching for truth but the truth simply has not been reveled to them yet. But then there are those atheists who have made themselves enemies of God, this is a heart attitude and frankly I find that very scary.

I think they are a challenge!
Frankly though, some atheists are a lot easier to be around than legalistic Christians. I do love (in a philia-brotherly love way) a lot of atheists. The more I love them though, the more difficult imagining eternity without them is.

Atheists in general, or just the ones who post here ? You see I have one opinion for one, and another for the other.
I have a very low opinion of the atheists who post on R&S. They are arogant, inconsiderat, hypricrital, intollerant, and mean spirited trolls ! I have no compultion to pray for them, because it would be putting my purles before swine. I feel this way because of their behavior makes them unworthy of my respect !
Atheists in general, I have some compation for, and hope, and pray will come to a revelation of God's love for them.

Koala Lumber thanks for this answer :)
I m atheist but even ... some christian people are very cool
the problem comes from the people that can't stand the fact that
I don't believe in any god.
But when everything runs gently and friendly , that's great

I am an atheist, but still - Scary stuff, are (some) people really so narrow minded or wrapped up in their own ideologies that they can't accept that other people might not have a religion and still be... well, people?

human beings some of whom are friendly or tolerant or kind or philanthropic and some who are the opposite
I do not think that atheism is logical, mathematically probable, emotionally satisfying or ethically inspiring IMHO( and ,yes, i know that the same can be said for many expressions of religion)
I think of atheists often ,pray for them and wish them well and the same freedom of thought and expression that i wish for myself and other Christians and religionists
