OMG! This is the most sensible thing i've heard on the religion and spirituality board. Well done for saying this.

Unfortunately, you've got no chance, they wouldn't give up their books of fairy tales for anything...

You are way too simplistic. You also discount the beliefs of a lot of our best people, and the majority of Americans. You may not sense the spiritual world very well, because your spiritual senses are dull by our overindulgent, materialistic world. Or you don't believe in a certain definition of God. God is the universal spirit that hold the world together as one.
People have done amazing thing, with God's guidance, all through history. Eliminate this guidance, and I think you would find, that it would not turn out as well as you think. People of all beliefs, need to work together, you can not just demand people share your belief, that God is not real. I have trained myself to be strong and sensitive spiritually, and I have done this intensely my whole life. I don't have much talent outside of this area. I have push the edge my whole life, and am still pushing the edge, with mind-body exercises. I have developed a new Astrology system as a spiritual tuning device. I meditate, eat very healthy, do mind-body exercises, don't overindulge, and look for inspiration where ever I can find it. I am very sensitive intuitively to the spiritual realm, and there are other that tune in well to the spiritual. You can discount their talents, but you will not have a better world, if you try to shut them out, from being useful.

Unfortunately, as long as their is ONE
Fist Fight on Planet Earth~ YOUR
"Amazing Things" might never happen!

It is the nature of Human Kind to fight each other.
It will never change my friend!

Then you stir in a little volatile religion?
All the ignorant bald men will continue to fight & wage wars.

Over 90% of earths population should
be in an Anger Management Seminar!

It is only when ANGER evaporates
that true peace & acceptance will
become a reality!

My neighbor thinks his Durango is better than my Navigator. We still hang out, and get along, we just agree to disagree about our SUV.

You are preaching to the choir and I try to be nice and treat everyone the way I want to be treated.

So, great idea, but not all people are as evolved as we are.

Here is to converting the Earth one person at a time, and a better place for us all to live, and share.

If not, do you have a gun??

But if people want to belive in a god, why not let them, they are not hurting you? As for wars which arise from religion I firmly belive that those people are fanatics , with a twisted sence of beliefs that bear no resemblence to the religion they claim to follow.

Plenty of people who don't believe in God manage to find other things to fight about.

If people followed the teachings of Christ seriously then we could do the most amazing things.

p.s. I'm bald!

To me, God is real. You will never change my mind about him, no matter what you say.

I agree that people can be petty about things. I fully believe that Jesus died for all of us and our sins. You can believe what you want, but for me I will continue my beliefs. At least I know when I die, I will be in heaven. A wonderful feeling!!!

I have friend who doesn't believe, but still go to church with me. We all get along.
