hie guys i want to pursue a career in pharmacology but im torn between that and pharmaceutical sciences....can u guys let me know how much a pharmacologist earns in a year and the benefits and the same with pharmaceutical science

You don't have to worry about the distinction yet. If your aptitude and interest are there, you can decide later.

Potential Paths:

I. BS in Biological science >> graduate work in pharmacology >> Ph.D
A. pharm industry research with small animals and/or molecular biology focus. ($100,000)
B. university teaching/research with little direct human study ($70,000)
C. pharm industry regulatory affairs. ($120,000)

II. Pre-pharmacy >> Pharm.D. (doctor of pharmacy) >> clinical research internship/fellowship
A. pharm industry regulatory affairs
B. pharm industry research clinical coordinator
C. university hospital based pharmacology research
D. clinical pharmacology of patient care requiring MD supervision
E. Good salary around $100,000-$160,000

III. Pre-med BS >> med school >> fellowship
A. Top leadership position and decision making regarding clinical drug research
B. Medical salary $150,000-200,000
