I can't tell from the pictures in that link whether the speakers are wired correctly or not. Here's how speakers are supposed to be wired:

1) There is an electronic network inside the speaker cabinet called a crossover network. The amp is hooked to the crossover.

2) The Woofer, Midrange, and Tweeter are hooked to the appropriate points on the crossover.

3) The crossover sends the low frequencies to the woofer, the midrange frequencies to the midrange speaker, and the highs to the tweeter.

4) The vast majority of the power coming from the amp goes to the woofer. It is the largest speaker, and needs the most driving force.

5) All the components must be carefully matched as to impedance and power handling capacity for maximum performance and efficiency.

If the crossover network was inadvertently left out, wired wrong, or passed over, all the speakers in the cabinet probably would have been wired in parallel, thus sending too much power to the midrange and tweeter and overdriving them.

Er, that appears to be household mains cable you are using to wire up your speakers...??

If it is, then that's your problem! The resistance in that type of cable is way to high to allow the system to work properly. It's the hi-fi equivalent of putting petrol in a diesel car.

If you don't get some proper speaker cable, you'll blow up something else.

Hi Windows I think Twisted is right. maybe Kleek rewired the speakers with any old wire he could find. maybe he has been listening to AC/DCs Live wire. Puts a new view to LIVE music. lol good luck with that.
