Hi! I'm a teacher and last year my class made a delicious indian dessert. Unfortunately I don't have the recipe any more. I can remember most of the ingredients but not what to do.
The dessert was made with condensed milk, coconut, icing sugar, cardamon, coloured sprinkles and possibly some other things. It was all mixed together then we made balls out of the mixture and rolled them in coconut or sprinkles.
Does anyone know this recipe or one like it? I'd really appreciate your help! Thank you!

I've searched and searched, this sounds like what you described but I really don't know! I'd like to try it myself anyway.
Coco Pista Pasand
2 tbsp shelled, unsalted pistachios
1 tbsp icing sugar
1 tsp white poppy seeds
1/2 tbsp milk
For the Coconut Casing:
120 g sugar
5 cardamon pods ground in a grinder
120 g unsweetened desiccated coconut
4 tbsp canned condensed milk
To make the filling: put the pistachios into the container of a clean coffee grinder. Grind to a coarse powder. Put the ground pistachios, sugar, poppy seeds and milk into a bowl. Mix to a paste. Put aside.
To make the coconut casing: put the sugar into a small heavy-bottomed pan. Add 4 tablespoons of water. Stir and bring to a simmer. Cook over a medium-high heat for 2-3 minutes until the syrup forms a single thread when a little is dropped from a spoon into a cup of cold water. Remove from the heat. Add the coconut and cardamom. Mix well. Add the condensed milk. Stir to mix.
Lay a 23 cm piece of cling film on your work surface. While the coconut paste is still warm, roll it into a thick 9 inch ball. Put the coconut balls on to the center piece of cling film and flatten it to form a rectangle about 9 cm wide.
Roll the pistachio paste into a separate balls of the same size. Put the rolled pistachio ball on the coconut rectangle, slightly below the centerer, a little closer to your end. With the aid of the cling film, fold the coconut paste over the pistachio paste. Press down on the cling film to firm up the roll. Now continue rolling, being careful to keep the cling film on the outside of the roll, until you have a slim "Swiss Roll". Press down evenly on the cling film to get a neat roll. Let the roll cool and harden a bit. Remove the cling film and cut crossway's into 1 cm thick slices.

Dessert - Mishti Dohi - an Indian Style Cheesecake

26 min 6 min prep


1/2 (14 fluid ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 cup of vitamin d milk
1 cup of full fat yogurt
1 cup graham cracker crumbs
3 drops vanilla essence

Mix condensed milk, milk and yoghurt with an egg whisk.
Add the vanilla essence.
Transfer it into your glass serving bowl.
Bake it in the oven at 350 degree F for 20 minutes.
Let it cool down to room temperature.
Cover with cling wrap and refrigerate for 4-5 hours.
Serve with graham crackers crumbs.

sounds like Rasgola or Gulab jamun..
what color was the end result? if it was white..its probably the Rasgola ..if it was a tan/brown color then its the gulab jamun.
I dont have the reicpes off hand.. but u can find it in the search engines..
