Do you like the western style of sleeping around before marriage? Or do like the traditional style of India to preserve your virginity until you're married?

dear if u are asking to the indian girl than i can say there is now alos some shame in indian girls about that the answer u will get may be 90% of preserving their viginity and 10% will say with western style
coz they hav been having wearing blind cloth of western life
but indian is the place where the respect the humaity is still alive

well I am an Indian and I saw many Indian people using western style but that is not good because if you did it before what is the ensnarement that that person will be there with you??? I saw many couples here in Canada who did this and they are not happy.
I know it is 2007 but we are not Canadians nor Americans or whatever we are Indians and we have to respect our traditions weather they are right or wrong. That's why India is well known in the world "IT'S TRADITIONS" i will go to traditional way. THAT IS THE RIGHT CHOICE.

You shouldnt generalize like that. There are westerners who do wait 'til marriage, and indians who do not. ITs the indian style of secrecy and the western style of openness that puts the west down in ur eyes. ANd u don't know y a western girl would sleep around, maybe she did it for love, maybe the guy told her he'd marry her, and she figured what the hell. Maybe she figured, u know, males aren't virgins when they marry, and they're doing it with girls, so y not me too? When ur in a situation, only then will u know what ur gonna do and y.

IT's not easy for one to preserve oneself, and if they do, they should be commended. But if they don't, they shouldn't be chastized either. I prefer the "Indian" way. Because secrecy rocks right? Indians wait for marriage, then realize sex is over rated and see if they can have better, so they have extra maritial affairs(a well known secret), but society just pushes that under the rug. AS long as society looks good right. The west shouldn't be punished for their openness, Indians should be punished for their secrecy. We're humans. We all have needs. Yes, they need to be managed, and controlled, but it isn't right for one gender to be satisfied while the other burns.

Plus, because of this, a girl's first time is usually over rated, and she wondered(in a physical sense anyway) y she waited. A man doesn't haVe that wonder, because he often did not, and now, he gets fresh meat, while his wife gets left overs. Nice guys! Besides, it's hard work to please a girl, it's easier to please a guy...so shouldn't girls get all the experience and teach their husbands what to do?

Neither sleeping around with everybody, nor staying virgin till marriage... the world is not just black & white, there are many greys in-between you know...
I lived 1 year together with my husband before getting married and before meeting my husband I had 2 boyfriends.
What’s the problem?
Women are supposed to stay virgins and guys are supposed to have fun... sorry, but I wouldn’t have married anybody who would have expected that I was an object he buys...
Every woman shall have the right to decide on her own which life style suits her and for those who think that it’s important to stay virgin before marriage, well, why not, as long as it makes them happy…
By the way, it’s not true, that in Europe everybody sleeps around with everybody, actually most people have sex with their partners within a steady relationship.

Excuse me, but whick age are you living in? Try getting hold of a copy of the Magazine called "The Week". There was an issue on Virginity in Indians. According to their survey, a good majority of Indians(Guys AND gals) lose their virginity before they are 16 and a greater no before they are 18. and this, in rural India not urban. The rates in Urban India are much lower.

Simply put , in this day and age, your question is downright silly. Western v/s Indian in terms of sexually active lives, is a comparision that does not exist.

for me personally virgin or no virgin does not come in the way, people are more interacting than the old days, more socialising, this mean more chances that your paths cross with the the opposite sex, naturally we are attracted, and to know the other person, share, one might end up sleeping with each other, or might refrain out of mutual consent, whatever, sleeping and loosing virginity is just one of the means to companionship, and if you do have consensual sex, then you should not be lead to believing guilt later on, you have explored, shared, it works to increase your mutual feeling or it does not work, just like anything else you move on...at the end one should decide if its worth preserving for your loved one or making use of with your loved one. The most important is that do not be forced into it, even in the slightest, watch out for these signs in the other person, it should come from yourself. then you have every reason to be ok with it, and probably be happy about it.

This all Time matters.10-15 years back in India girl got married at 20-24 age Boy at 24-27 age. now girl get married at26-30 Boy married at 29-32.
So please try to understand why & how the wauge of youngness can be how & why to suspress& how you justify it.
So I think western style in India will be adopted. It;s a time demand.

It depends on what your definition of virginity. If the first intercourse is the lose of virginity, then atleast 80% of indian girls will be virgin till marriage. If other kind of sexual activity is included (molestation) then a high % of girls will not be virgin (say 90%). Girls are sexually abused at early stage (at the age to 10 to 15) by their nears and dears. Lack of sexual education and today's media are the main reason. (Ofcourse guys around are the reason, but you can't change the nature)
