If you are talking about two separate digital images the answer is using "layers" in Photoshop. One layer for each of the two images, and then simply merge them together. Make sure to smooth the two, or more, images together to look like one image. Last, understand to get it to look terrific takes a lot of time, patience, and practice. Good luck and have fun, besides, it is also a great learning experience.

Buy a decent digital SLR. They have the option of taking mulitple shots - one over top of the other. The same thing can be done in a film SLR. If you have a point and shoot camera, you will have to use software to get the same affect. There are many out there and just as many prices. As they say - "Pick your own poison" - camera or software.

Go to AIRC-Adorama Imaging Resource Center and click on SFX Photography. Look for articles by Elinor Streker-Orel, an instructor at NYIP. She explains how to create double and multiple exposures in Photoshop.
