I usually overeat (I like to snack), but I decided to only eat when I'm hungry. The thing is I hardly am ever hungry. I want to get my daily calories in, but if I'm not hungry should I still eat? If I don't eat and end up going under my daily calories, will this mess up my metabolism?

You will learn "to be hungry" in a couple of days of eating only when you're hungry. Don't worry, it will come back to you very soon. Don't eat when you are not hungry.

If you're concerned, get some exersise. You're guaranteed to feel hungry about an hour after you finish.

if you're worried about not getting enough calories because you're not hungry often enough, why don't you just have slightly bigger meals and eat more calorie dense foods like whole wheat pasta, oils, nuts, brown rice, etc.

You need to make sure you're getting enough nutrients--vitamins and minerals, essential fatty acids, all that fun stuff.

Do that and your body will tell you if you need to eat more--and if it does, eat the same kind of stuff, not sugars and such.

if you're not hungry, don't eat, you may crave food, then keep yourself busy
