"Stealth" generally means "hard to detect". For example, a stealth plane is one with a radar-absorbing skin, which makes it hard to detect on radar. Hence the plane is stealthy.

Stealth derive from the word Steal = eg . to take someone's property dishonestly in a secret manner, while Stealth is the noun of that action ie the action in secret or behaviour.
In military sense , to en-roach into the enemy's territory without the enemy knowing it. Here they use the Stealth plane where it cannot be detected , so are some submarines and vessels.
there are also developments in some missiles.

Stealth is a term used by military people to refer to things which are hard to detect. The F117 and the B2 Spirit bomber are two examples of aircraft stealth.

Modern naval ships in Europe and North America have shapes which deflect radar pulse away from the receiver, they also have sound absorbing systems to make them harder for submarines to detect and systems to cool their exhaust systems to make them harder to spot on IR detectors.

Submarines have blocks of sound absorbing tiles on the outside to cut down reflections of sonar pulses off their hulls.

None of these systems are totally effective, but usually all that is required is that you detect the enemy in time to get off the first shot.
