Yes it is true that Maryam (Mary or Miriam) was the sister of Harun or Aaron prophet as stated in the Qur'an 19:28 e.g Hey the sister of Harun ,your father (Ali Imran)was not a cruel man and your mother was not a fornicator or a commitor of adultery or a whorer. In this contex there are 2 interpretations e.g in general all muslim women are sisters or Mary was the sister of Harun so Harun was also the son of Ali Imran. But it can be interpreted also that Mary was a sholehah(good) woman because Hraun was a sholeh man too.

In the Old Testament of the bible, Miriam is the sister of Moses and Aaron (in the flesh). The New Testament did not indicate any siblings of Miriam or Mary the mother of Jesus.

Miriam, according to the bible was the sister of Aaron and Moses and her mother was Jochebed, a Jew. Mary was the mother of Jesus and Mary's husband was Joseph, a Jewish carpenter of Nazareth.and nothing is written about Mary and/or Joseph having any daughters in the bible.
There may be sisters in faith and there may be sisters in the flesh. It is also possible for sisters in faith to be sisters in the flesh.

Depends on your religious inclination, I'm a Chistian.
We were taught that Miriam is Aaron's sister, but NOT Jesus' mother.

the concept that the JW's are followers of Charles T Russell is actual incorrect, the "bible pupil circulate" that he based on the returned of his fake prophecies of Armageddon, which he beleived could ensue interior the year 1914, became superceded by way of the dictatorship of Thomas Rutherford, whom led to a schism in the congregation, those dependable to Russell remained the Bible pupils circulate ( they now merely have a club of roughly 10,000) disassociated themselves from rutherford and his new doctrine, people who stayed with Rutherford grew to become known by means of fact the Jehovah's Witnesses in 1931. the two Russell and Rutherford have been the two con adult adult males. JW's whom have been chosen as between the annointed ones have faith that they are the reincarnation of the unique a hundred and forty four,000 souls of the 12 tribes of Israel, chosen by way of God. This became carried out to offer themselves credibility against the fact that the bible says that each and all the chosen a hundred and forty four.000 have been all Jewish. Revelations 7:4 JW's at the instant are not something greater effective than a cult started by way of a con guy who tried to sell bushel of wheat extremely worth $a million for $60 saying it became "miracle wheat" desire this solutions your question ST

No,,,I think there in an error there, simply because, even most of the prophesies were not written yet. Beware, there IS error there, just read Marys geneology and you will see for yourself. In this case the HEBREW TANACH is the reliable record,,,So the answer is NO,,,sorry.

In Arabic ( and I think in Hebrew too ) you can call a woman according to her noble ancestors as a way to glorify her.
We say Fatimah Sister of Quraish who is 4000 years far back from her . So please don't mix up or make the same mistake of other people who think that this is a historical error in Quran .Allah bless.

Hi there,
Hope this will answer your question.
The Jews used to name their sons using the name of their prophets.
So the Harun(19:28) does not refer to the brother of Prophet Moses (Musa (as))
same as Muslim, we have muslim men named part of their sons name using our Prophets name.
eg
Musa (Moses)
Yunus(Jonah)
Ibrahim(Abraham)
Adam( Adam)
Isa(Jesus).
If i'm not wrong all the Known Prophet names is taken to named their son's , even our Prophet Muhammad(pbuh) named is well known to be used to named as Muslim named.
But take note that our name is always address together with our father name to diffrentiate between one another.
for example
Muhammad BIN Harun.
take note the BIN stands for Son Of
as you can see above 2 prophet name is used above, and note this is a real name belongs to my friend.. hope he does not browse in YM ...:)

If you are talking about Aaron, the brother of Moses - they were born thousands of years apart.
