the FDA won't allow it to be used because of patent issues?

The side effects are very dangerous, but it is very, VERY rare to experience them, and you should be monitored by a doctor while under treatment.....although if you are in America, no doctor can treat you with it due to legal issues. Red tape is keeping people sick.

Here is a link about the drug:

Makes me really hate how greedy humans can be......

posted in religion because if you are religious you should care about your fellow man. Which is not happening in this incident.

Vicarious,

And yet they are already using it as a means to treat it in Canada. That is not a clinical test though, even if it works...

"although the study results are promising, no formal clinical trials in humans with cancer have yet been conducted, emphasizing the need for caution in interpreting the preliminary results"

And the rush to judgement without the application of critical thinking skills gets under my skin.

Stop reading Wikpedia. It is unreliable.
Exactly what patent issues is the FDA dealing with. That is not their role. Do you have any source on this other than Wikpedia?
Keep this in mind, it really is in everyone's best interest to combat cancer because it hits everyone, including those in decision making roles in the FDA and their loved ones, and they realize that too. I really dont buy all of these conspiracy theories.

This is one of hundreds of drugs that kill cancer cells in culture. Like many other drugs it has not gotten as far as clinical trials because of its high toxicity, not because of any patent issues. A drug that kills 8 out of 10 cancers but also kills one out of 10 patients is not a candidate for approval.

The FDA doesn't give a damn about patent issues.
