I've always heard that asking a girl out you like to lunch is a big no-no. It breaks the friendship boundary, and if you like someone, you need to keep it out of the friendship zone. I'm 23 so it's easy for me to schedule lunch in and all so I usually like to do that, but I think it might be one of my problems I have getting relationships started. HELP ME WOMEN

Lunch means friend, unless already dating. I suggest if you want to ask a female out on a real date, to ask her to dinner. Don't go to a fast food place, but an actual sit down place. Also a movie can be good, just let her pick it! Don't go shopping at first early either or you will definatly be a "friend", not boyfriend! Good luck!

I think a lunch date is completely fine. Personally I don't think that friendship and dating are mutually exclusive at the start. Maybe to keep it a little more on the dating side of things, you can invite her to lunch that you will pay for. For example, "I would really like to take you to lunch this week," should be different from "Let's do lunch on Friday!"

Never heard of such, is this a new myth, asking a girl out for lunch is find, and always remember that friends before lover make the best relationship.

No,not in all cases. But heres my suggestion, ask her out for dinner! For some reason dinner gives off a much more romantic vibe, and is less casual than lunch. So just go for it.

ok first of all who ever told you that taking a girl thats only a friend out to unch and saying THAT was a big NO-NO.. is a big DUM DUM!!!! lunch is completely ok i have lunch w my guy friends all the frikin time and its understood from BOTH parties that its strictly lunch and thats it...

(well we HAVE known each other for years so i ask him to lunch he asks me to lunch whatever....)

if you dont want to start anything just yet w her then dont even do the whole lunch thing.. go to friggin stabucks have ice coffee... or go have ice cream.. this way youre building up your list of what she likes and what she doesnt...

and another thing if you dont want to be her "friend" what do you want to be then? i mean honestly dont you HAVE to star out as friends that way you have a common ground of things to talk about and see if you guys have anything to share w each other? someone to talk to when youre bored or when youre sittin in traffic and you want someone to keep you awake...i dont know thats just MY opinion..

good luck to you
