Does anyone know of a good Christian chat room or message board? I live alone and I need some people to chat with or post with. Thanks.

I don't know of any Truly safe chat rooms, but here are links to encouraging, Bible-based reading material on the subject:

(PS, there is also a link to an article with suggestions for those who want to help you, in the second one listed.)

If you kick the habit it will give your love life a big boost as smoking inhibits blood flow to the outer skin layers. You will not stink like an ashtray and neither will your house and clothes, you will have more energy, you will be mor ealive, you will lose the grey pallor to your skin. (All smokers have this) These are only a few of the many benifits to be had from beating the weed habit. I got rid of it by joining a support group at my surgery, peer group pressure is good! Also with patches and gum, together with sugar free lollipops just like Kojak. (Who loves ya baby?) If you suffer from depression, (who doesn't these days?) avoid the anti smoking pills, they can make depression worse. Also there is a nicotine inhaler that you can suck in extremis. Avoid coffee, tea, pubs and any situation that psychologically reminds you of lighting up and last but not least, GOOD LUCK!

I'm not sure of a Christian based group, but when I quit, I hung out in the usenet newgroup AS3.
You can stop. I smoked for 20 years. I stopped because I got mad at the tobacco companies putting stuff in cigarettes, namely ammonia, to increase its addictive factor. I was not going to let Philip Morris kill me. I've been quit for over 7 years now, and could never ever smoke again. It now revolts me.
Link to AS3 below.

Yes you need support from your family in stopping smoking and also from your best friends. But the most important is you must have eagerness for stopping it.You must have a strong intention to stop it and you must prevent from togetherness with other smokers.Smoking will ruin your healthy and also other persons(passive smokers) who sit near you while you are smoking. So you make other persons unhealthy too.It is an unsocial act.Cigarette make so many diseases because it contans many poisons such nocotine,CO2 gas etc.It is better for you to prevent of illness than to cure the illness.Smo
king will make you get a lung or throat cancer disease in line with a health research. You can chat through this internet ..

I could not quit until I received the Baptism of the Holy Ghost. That was less than 9 years ago. God took the desire away as if I never smoked. He also delivered me from cigarettes, drugs, depression, alcohol, and loneliness, all in one night!

First ask yourself WHY you need other Christians to help you with a medical problem . Do you rfuse help from a Jewish doctor or an Atheist nurse ? You need to TAKE CONTROL of your own destiny !
