I have a spreadsheet made in MS Excel 2003 that gives me a macro warning pop-up whenever I open it. I created the file myself and know that it doesn't contain any macros. How can I get rid of this warning?

edit: AG's answer got me started in the right direction. I opened the Visual Basic editor, but I didn't even have a Modules folder to remove. When I opened the Objects folder, one of my worksheets did have some stray code in there that was causing the problem. Thanks.

If it is detecting a macro then go into your visual basic editor and check your spreadsheet for macros. You might have run the macro recroder by mistake and done some code without realising it. Could also come up when you first open Excel if your have a personal sheet for storing macros.

Easy, click Tools>Macro>Security...
This will open the security pop-up. On the Security-Level tab set you security level to Low. Now, there is a downside to this, if there are unsafe macros in the excel you open it will not prompt you to disable it. Nevertheless, the macros is seldom unsafe.

Simply do such as followed: Tools -> Options -> Security -> Macro Security -> Set it to Low and Apply. Save the document then Close and ReOPEN it. You won't see any warning again. Good Luck.
