I think I can guess. Because he was a false prophet! His lack of intelligence proves it. If he were a true prophet he wouldn't have been so asinine- especially when his knowledge was supposed to come from Allah.
"They ask you about Dhu'l-Qarnain [Alexander the Great]. Say, ‘I will cite something of his story. We gave him authority in the land and means of accomplishing his goals. So he followed a path until he reached the setting place of the sun. He saw that it set in black, muddy, hot water. Near it he found people." Qur'an 18:83
"The Prophet said, ‘Whoever cleans his private parts with stones should do it with an odd number of stones. And whoever wakes up should wash his hands before putting them in the water for ablution. Nobody knows where his hands were during sleep.'" Bukhari:V1B4N163
"I heard the Prophet saying, ‘If anyone of you dreams something he dislikes, when you get up, blow thrice on your left.'" Bukhari:V7B71N643
"If you spit on the left side of your bed the bad dream will not harm you." Bukhari:V9B87N115
"Allah's Apostle said, ‘If a fly falls in your drink, dip all of it into the cup and then throw it away, for in one of its wings there is a disease and in the other there is healing, an antidote or treatment for that disease.'" Bukhari:V7B71N673
"The climate of Medina did not suit some people so the Prophet ordered them to drink camel urine as a medicine." Bukhari:V7B71N590
In reply to FriezaKicksAss.
Islam is not a race- it is a RELIGION! So if we criticize Islam we are not necessarily racist.
And you are certainly one to talk about being uneducated! You believe in the religion that teaches the sun sets in a pool of muddy water! You don’t even know the meaning of the word racist!

Muhammad IMO wasn't a prophet at all...let alone a false one.
It appears, and Aisha noted this coincidence also, that Mohammad's revelations had a habit of coinciding with whatever trouble was occuring in his family at the time.
He had an agenda and made it a reality by saying 'God told him so...'

Mohammed, or the spirit of, is the false prophet.
The Bible says:
"Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that [spirit] of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. "
The Quran says:
"Praise be to Allah, Who hath not taken unto Himself a Son" (Sura 17:111)
Doesn’t it make sense to you that if the real Messiah comes from a specific bloodline that the false messiah would come from a cursed branch of the same bloodline?
"For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman. But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise. Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar. For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children. " Gal 4:22-25
He is the same character in Rev 17. It says this because he'll be brought back to life by the Antichrist. Perhaps the Antichrist is the 2nd beast because he is born 2nd on the historical timeline.
"The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is." Rev: 17:8
If you think the Muslims are fired up now, you just wait till a guy shows up with God-like powers and says "I'm GOD, and Allah is one of my names, now let me bring back my prophet and prove it to you." and brings back the ACTUAL Mohammad right out of the grave, the Al-Mahdi

I don't think the Quran says anything about it, though I believe that the name "Muhammad"is the most popular one in the world. Obviously, the Quran wouldn't say anything against naming your child thus if so many Muslims do.

what is a true prophet? A man who declares The Word of The Lord ( The Holy Bible). If the "prophet" speaks contrariwise to that word he is FALSE and nobody should listen to him.

Yes! We are told in the bible that there would be many false prophets and false religions which would present themselves. Strange, I'm unaware that he even made any prophesies at all and did he rise from the dead? of course not; like all false prophets, he can't deliver.

Probably because they've read the Koran, have seen or heard about thousands of terrorist attacks carried out by Muslims and they are smart.

Gee, maybe because the people saying things are...not muslim?
It's an endless tradition for each religion to call all the other ones "false" in some way.

Mohammad (meaning Praiseworthy more than all) is the last messenger of Allah (Arabic name of true God). It was informed about him in all old religious scriptures. 1.65 billion muslim respect him and believe every word spoken by him. And many intelligent non-muslims have also given him a high tribute in their writings.
If a misguided man do not believe him he has no problem. Satan do not accept God even after seeing him. I will not quote more from scriptures but one example from Bible Barnaby, called Son of Encouragement in King James Version.
19 And therefore I inform you that there is no doubt that God's Messenger is a light from God and it will bless almost all creation of the Lord.
20 He is assisted by the soul of knowledge and counseling.
21 is soul of wisdom and strength.
22 is soul of fear and love (of God)
23 is soul of guidance and moderateness
24 blessed with soul of love and mercy
25 soul of justice and piety
26 thankfulness and patience to such an extent, that he has got the biggest share from blessings of God which are bestowed on all creature of God.
27 How blessed will be the age when He (Messenger of God) will come!
28 Believe me that I have seen him in all aspect and paid respect to him. And I have respected him as all prophets have seen him.
29 Because God show them the soul of his messenger as a prophecy.
30 And when I saw him I became contented and said, "O Mohammad God be with you, and (may God) make me to serve your cause." (Bible, Barnabas:44: 19-30)
