The best answer I can give is... maybe?

There do not seem to be any scientific studies confirming or denying the claim that eye color can change based upon dietetic circumstances.

In the absence of science, you get a lot of speculation and anecdotal evidence.

I hold no opinion either way. I've recently started on a raw food diet myself, because I am hoping to increase my energy levels from the enzymes present in raw foods (that tend to get destroyed through cooking and addition of preservatives), but after 3 weeks, I can't say I've seen any change in eye color.

This doesn't refute the evidence, for me, though - because most of the anecdotes I've read supporting eye color change seem to suggest it takes several months for the process to become noticeable.

At any rate, anything I say on the subject would be a matter of hearsay and personal opinion.

I've included a link to a question on Yahoo! Answers that was asked previously. I doubt the answers will shed much light on the question, but it's interesting to know someone else has asked.

I've also included links below that outline anecdotal evidence both in favor and against eye color change related to diet.

It is a curious detail that a side effect of raw food diets is the change in eye colour. It has been reported along with claims that their eyes become `clearer', and that their vision actually improves somewhat. This is purportedly due to the internal cleansing effect of a raw food diet, improving circulation. It usually takes several months for the colour change to become prevalent, yet only a mere few weeks for the improvement in clarity of vision.

This consequence is mentioned pithily in Viktoras Kulvinskas' book of letters "Life in the 21st Century". In the iridology section it cites that "as the body regenerates. The iris changes in colour value... With healing, the natural colour will return. The whole iris may become lighter in colour."

Some people's eye colours may be `set' by genetics , and in those people the eyes become clearer, but the colour quality might not change. The Ayurvedic view of eye colour is that your eyes are the colour that you have in "excess" (namely, in the astral or spiritual body). That view supports the idea that changes in eye colour may be possible due to the deep cleansing provided by a raw food diet.

If I hadn't seen it myself with friends who are raw foodists I probably wouldn't believe it was possible. I haven't seen anything as dramatic as brown turning blue though.

Have you heard about people with multiple personalities having eyes change colour when their personality changes?

I have never heard of anyone's eye color changing from any type of diet.. Your genes from your parents determine your eye color.. As you age and get very old, your eye color may fade out from the bright color it was. But, blue is blue, green is green and brown is brown etc.. Or, I have seen people with one blue eye and one brown.. That's not very common, but it happens.. Colored contacts are the only way I know of to change your eye color..

No. It's anatomicaly impossible to change the color of your eyes based on diet alone. (Actually it's not possible to change your iris' at all.)
