If you could practice a different religion for a while, and go back to your previous religion with no questions asked, no strings attached, what religion would you practice?

Me, probably Judaism. I've been to Israel, and being Jewish for a while would be a great excuse to go back. However, that whole Jesus isn't the messiah thing wouldn't last for me.

It's just a what if question. If you'd rather, then answer this: If you could go back in time and choose what religion to be brought up in, would you stay in your religion or choose a different one? If so, what religion would you switch to and why?

You know when you think about it,,,I would love to know more about the Jewish religion from the inside so to speak,,,I feel like it is just the beginning of the the Christian religion anyway,,,so after I finished with the study of the early Jews,,,I might be better prepared to understand scripture.

To be perfectly honest,,I don't spend as much time as I should reading the Old Testament...I have read it,,,but not studied it very much.....but I am with you...once I spent a little time there,..I would come running back with bells on to Jesus...

Edited for Habitit: OH lighten up!....We aren't going to do it....it is just speculation for Pete's sake. I am a born again, sealed with the Holy Spirit,,,name in the book of the lamb Christian...

i don't understand why you would want to change your beliefs for a while. if you are convinced your faith is incorrect and come to believe something else that would be different. there is a faith of Messianic Jews which do believe Jesus is the Messiah but practice all other form of the faith. if you really want to change your belief based on going on a vacation that is almost as bad as being a hypocrite or blasphemy

Salam

Religion doesn't belong to human being and human beings are not religion, I dont' know how manytimes I have to state that. I suppose as many layers as there is in the human skull to finally penitrate the thickness. Humans are not religion. Humans die and religion doesn't, so your in total misunderstanding of what your talking about. Religion is granted to us by the Lord and its not made by us.. we have done allot to copy such, and failed horribly as many people have already had more than enough sense by the age of 10 to understand that humans are full of error and religion if it was kept as it was sent has no error.

Jewish, its so close to Christianity anyways. But if I was really looking for a change I would go with Hinduism for a while, that's always been interesting to me. Buddhism would also be a close call but I hear they can't kill insects and I don't like bugs :S

I would choose LDS. They believe if they live out the tenets of their faith. They someday can attain Godhood. That is a pretty lofty goal. Plus, they are very service oriented. I like that aspect, very respectable. The good book says it is better to give than receive, you know.

I'd like to practice ancient Egyptian religion. That way, when I returned, I'd be an expert on it and everyone else would be jealous.
