Be prepared for them to get really dirty. I would even suggest to parents to bring a change of clothes.

No toys that are small enough to go into any ones mouth.

No balloons. I know it's no fun, but it's no fun to try to pull a piece of rubber out of a child's throat either.

Bubble stuff.

Homemade finger paint made from pudding and food coloring. They can stick their fingers in their mouths all they want.

A fun party partner that DOES NOT have a child there, so she can help you watch all of them without focusing on hers.

Make SURE that there are no kids with food allergies before bringing in food. Go to the $ store for goody bag stuff. No need to pay $3 for something at the Party stores that you can get for $1. No games. At this age they won't pay attention long enough to play anyway.

Short and simple is the way to go. Too long of a party can be very overwhelming.

Goody Bags. Balloons. Party hats are always fun (no noisemakers). I would do a big decorated cookie instead of cupcakes.

CUPCAKES!! thay all love cupcakes most just eat the frosting, and little goodie bags. for 3 yr olds temporary tatoos, stickers, little play dough cans and bubbles go over well. good luck.
