It is unidentified. I do not believe it was homosexuality. I think it was keeping the celibacy.

It is not stated, so we can only surmise.
It is possible his eye sight was affected by the vision of Christ.
I lean more toward the idea that he was a Jew bearing witness to the Gentiles, and his circumcision tended to discredit his teachings against its continued benefit. Let's not try to turn a thorn into a dagger.

Many have postulated that it was a physical malady of some sort, a limp, poor eyesight, possibly even arthritis. All those come from extrabiblical materials. I'm not for sure what it was and what it was is not whats importent there, what is important is that he asked God 3 times to take it from him and God replied, "My grace is sufficent for thee".

Anger and pride.

Before his calling, he was part of a council who had absolute authority over every human life that stood before them. Insolence was dealt with harshly.
So, imagine you take a "300"-era Spartan leader and you have him get a calling in Christ's church. You think he's going to mellow out overnight especially when living a life of chastity?

Nuh-uh.
Paul gloried in his trials, but I think some of them may have come out of too much aggressiveness. Homosexuality (or even heterosexual contact) wasn't likely for a man sworn to chaste behavior.

I don't know. It must have been embarrassing though. It could have been homosexuality, but I really don't know, so it wouldn't be right to talk about someone when I don;t know something. I'm Bi and I'm saved. So I wouldn't count it out, not that it really matters. Being straight is not a prerequisite to being saved, you know.
