What are the qualifications needed for being on the governing body?

The elders who serve on the "Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses" are appointed from among "anointed" Christians, based on Scriptural precedent rather than Scriptural command. Jehovah's Witnesses have continued to maintain that practice, and have not indicated any plans to do otherwise.

The modern "Governing Body" performs a work similar to that of the first century governing body, who met in Jerusalem. The bible calls that ancient group "the apostles and the older men" and also "governors of you [Christians]" (see Hebrews 13:7 or its footnote).

(Acts 15:6,23) And the apostles and the older men gathered together to see about this affair. By their hand they wrote: “The apostles and the older men, brothers, to those brothers..."

(Acts 16:4,5) Now as they traveled on through the cities they would deliver to those there for observance the decrees that had been decided upon by the apostles and older men who were in Jerusalem. Therefore, indeed, the congregations continued to be made firm in the faith and to increase in number from day to day.

The same qualifications that are needed to be a politician. Be willing to follow satan for a dollar! I'm firmly convinced that the governing body knows what the truth is but they choose to state the opposite for the purposes of obtaining the almighty dollar. I'm sure they have to be people who've attended all their "jehovah universities" probably are degreed masons as was charley russell, maybe had a sex encounter with a child and got away with it, be willing to smile that evil smile and laugh at people who take their tales as pure truth.

I think that's what Ray Franz saw.

The JW claim that they are chosen by Holy Spirit...but if you read the book "Crisis of Conscience" By Ray Franz....He will tell yo what really goes on in the Holy of Unholy in the Governing Body.....They disfellowshipped him for exposing their lies and deceit.
