I'm sorry to hear you may have Celiac Disease.
There are many websites that offer information.
On the upside you will feel better when you eliminate gluten from your diet.

There are a lot of options for all sorts of food allergies/preferences/etc. if you know where to look! Do you have a Wegman's Grocery Store where you live? If so, look in their "Nature's Marketplace" section for all sorts of all natural products. They have a section just for non-wheat! If not, look for this kind of a section in your local grocery store. Wegman's products also mark right on their brand of products if the products are wheat free. Look for the W in a green circle (I think... I may be mixing up the "code".)
Good luck. I know it's scary when ever you have a big thing like this happen. But you can def. make some good substitutions! I have known people on this kind of a diet before, and trust me, they found some delicious things to eat. You might not eat one of your favorites anymore, but you will find new favorites. Look at this as an opportunity to broaden your horizons. :-)

Yes there are substitutions, my grandson, 5, has autism and a hell of a problem with his gut and cannot have gluten (wheat, oats, barley, rye). He eats pasta made from rice or potato, for example. I would invest in a good book, for what you have is not all that uncommon and you can live a life filled with food even with it, but it will take adjusting. You could probably google "celiac disease diet" and get a wealth of info that way also. Wishing you well!

Join the CLUB! The only foods I can eat are Meats & Vegetables...that's right, not even fruit, nuts, or anything like that!!!
But I am still living and since I have had to eat like this for the past 6 years I do not even get cravings for cinnamon buns or anything like that anymore...instead I just eat A LOT of the foods I can: ie...a pound of meat for lunch and then a pound for dinner, with tons of different veggies and such! You get quite a lot healthier too! Innitially it sucks though! Good Luck!

wow, no way, you will not be deprived of goods like that, go to a health food store, like Trader Joe's, Mother's Market, or Henry's(henry's would be best) for gluten free products, they have wheat free/gluten free: cookies, pizza crust, cake, pasta, cereals(which are way delicouse, try puffins brand, or envirokids brands), pizzas, pancakes, the list goes on and on and it tastes the same, you won't have to miss out onyour favorite foods don't worry, there are tons of gluten free recipes out there too, even restaraunts, no worries
