There is absolutely no reference in the Bible whatsoever to purgatory.

Purgatory is a man made conception of suffering for sins. Its probably tied to money some way. The more you pay the priest the least time you suffer, or you get the golden ticket to heaven with a larger contribution. The Bible Gods word has no indication of Purgatory, don't believe the hype.

It's a legalistic pagan tradition brought about by a council in the Roman Catholic Church. A council claiming it was "instructed by the Holy Ghost" :

" has from the Sacred Scriptures and the ancient tradition of the Fathers taught in Councils and very recently in this Ecumenical synod (Sess. VI, cap. XXX; Sess. XXII cap.ii, iii) that there is a purgatory, and that the souls therein are helped by the suffrages of the faithful, but principally by the acceptable Sacrifice of the Altar; the Holy Synod enjoins on the Bishops that they diligently endeavor to have the sound doctrine of the Fathers in Councils regarding purgatory everywhere taught and preached, held and believed by the faithful"

This is BS for stating, "don't question us, we are right."

It is revealed by this gem of a statement:
"Further than this the definitions of the Church do not go, but the tradition of the Fathers and the Schoolmen must be consulted to explain the teachings of the councils, and to make clear the belief and the practices of the faithful."

In other words, adjust the rhetoric so that the individual can be BSed by the person teaching the BS.

There is no purgatory, It was concocted in the middle ages as a money making racket, look it up, see what it's about, if your loved one died, they would have to suffer thier pennence in some type of semi hell state. UNLESS you could come up with enough money t have the priest spend his holy time praying to mary and paul and many other people who couldnt hear them to intervene on your loved ones behalf. Once you sold everything you could get your hands on and given it to the priest, that wonderful holy man of God you gave all your money to would assure you your loved one was no longer in purgatory but in heaven. You may think I'm making this up or making light of it but check it out for yourself!!

Christ refers to the sinner who "will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come" (Matt. 12:32), suggesting that one can be freed after death of the consequences of one’s sins. Similarly, Paul tells us that, when we are judged, each man’s work will be tried. And what happens if a righteous man’s work fails the test? "He will suffer loss, though he himself will be saved, but only as through fire" (1 Cor 3:15). Now this loss, this penalty, can’t refer to consignment to hell, since no one is saved there; and heaven can’t be meant, since there is no suffering ("fire") there. The Catholic doctrine of purgatory alone explains this passage.

Without the apocrypha (deuterocanonical books) there is no support for purgatory. While Catholics will give verses that supposedly support it, it just is not the case. Jesus paid the price for our sins. We cannot add to what He did. Purgatory is not a Biblical concept.

No. Not that I'm aware of. Look at the common Gideons Bible and the vast majority of Bibles sold in stores, used in Christian Church's, etc. You will find no such place listed.

None whatsoever. It was more than likely invented to explain a place for all the pre-Christ "believers" (Adam, Abraham, so on and so forth) to go since they died before the Resurrection. Since their sins could not have been paid for (supposedly), they couldn't go to Heaven, and they definitely couldn't go to Hell. Blame Dante (lol).
