NJ Governor Corzine has repeatedly turned down the New Jersey Bear Hunt, meanwhile rural counties in NJ suffer as hundreds of bears are simply relocated there and the people there have to go through ridiculous preventative measures (bear-proof garbage cans, etc.). What do you think should happen?

This would be a question for your local wildlife management agencies. They would be able to give you accurate data concerning the populations and information concerning how many of these animals the habitat could support. They could also get you started on track to get something passed so you could have a season.

You can always help a bear hide under a brush pile, like some do with wolves and bears in WI...

Honestly, get everyone together and start giving the DNR the bills for these things. You have to do something, or there will eventually be a human/bear encounter that won't end up good for the bears.
