there's this myth that if you ear rings for no reason at all that someone is talking bad about you. lol.
but that's not true (i think)
anyway unless it starts ringing for a long time like minutes you shouldn't worry.
if it rings a lot you could have tinnitus, but usually is more likely if you are over 40.
hope it helps

I think it might have something to do with some sort of cortex not blocking out the sounds it should. Some people have that cortex smaller, or use less of it, and so sounds others do not hear aren't blocked out. For example, I read about this guy whose eye squeaked, and he heard it for the same reason. Those people also have difficutly, say, talking on the phone in crowds because that cortex can't block out the other sounds. That's what I think it means, anyways. I could be totally wrong, but in either case, just casually ask your doctor about it. It might be the start of some infection...

I think it's blood pressure or maybe you've got a bit of damage. Tonitis is when it does'nt go away like Bill Shatner has had for years.

Occasional ringing is normal, but if it happens frequently, I'd get it checked out.

It's you losing a certain frequency of sound. Don't worry though, there are many. It doesn't mean you're going deaf.

Could be Tinnitus. If it is prolonged you should talk to your doctor about it.
