TwoThousandOneHundredFortyTwo and 30/100 Dollars.
Notice how I ran all the words together. I did that on purpose. That's how I always write out checks. It makes it harder to change the words.

If you are writing a check, you will write Two Thousand Two Hundred and Forty-Two on the first line of the check (dollars should be followed by this in print already on the check). If any space is still between the last word (Forty-Two) and the word dollar on the check, make a line through it (the space, to avoid anyone writing anything afterwards that would change the amount of the check. This is a security measure). Then write 30 where you see _____ / 100 (so that it looks like 30/100). This is where you would write the cents.
