Some say only 40% believe. I would just like to get a poll to check the validity of that figure.

For a Christian to believe that God did not create the universe is to negate their very basis of belief in Christianity.
If God did not create the universe, then He did not create Man, either. If God did not create Man, then the doctrine of original sin (disobedience to God) is negated. If there was no original sin, then there is no need for a propitiatory sacrifice by the Christ.
By definition, therefore, a Christian must believe that God created the universe. If they do not so believe, then they cannot be Christian.
So, 100% of Christians believe in the Creation.

Genesis 1:1 God created the heavens and the earth. This means God existed before he created everything we can observed. This means that God exists in the observable and the unobservable.

This is not some scientific theory, but it what God told us.

Answer: Yes I believe God created the universe because that is what he said. Prove he didn't.

Salam

I say only 4% of the world believes in The Lord is that a small number? Depends on what you believe and what you want to believe. When you die will it make a differance what you believed to others? If it does where is your proof, hearsay and polls? Surely there is a higher source that you cannot even imagine that created the BANG. Jibreal A.s. did that at the will of our Lord and its expanding as it was discribed in all books and those who don't believe are showing more and more proof even if they believe or not they are still showing the proof. I met many people that say they don't believe, does that make them non believers? Only the Lord knows what is in the hearts and what it carries. No man on the face of this earth today has the athority to state believe or non believe to any other man. That is a choice granted to you as a mercy and guidance, take it or leave it and make a choice that is what is asked of each and every single one of you all. That you can believe in that you have a choice that is granted and proven every waking second of your life.

I don't believe, I know God created every thing there is. You can fine the account of it in, Job 38.
Genesis 1:1 > In the beginning GOD created the Heaven and the earth. Acts 17:24 > God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that He is Lord of heaven and earth, dwells not in temples made with hands.

Not in 7 days. I believe in evolution. However, why couldn't God have started the ball rolling?
The point is, when you read Genisis it tells you that God created the world in 7 days, however this was NEVER eant to be taken literally. In that time, things were written like that as the uneducated people could not understand the science of creation. In addition to this, the hebrew word which has been translated to 'days' in the bible actually literally means an undetermined period of time.
Basically, just to believe that God created the universe does not mean that you have to believe that he did it in 7 days

Look, asking a question like that is going to get you a large response of "yes", almost all people who say they are a "christian" believe that God created the world, if they don't they are probably of a small cult, you may want to have people put down what church denomination they belong to, to get a better idea

Yes I do believe the God created the universe. I checked out the big bang theory and it just did not hold up to water. I took a rock in my hand and smashed it into a lot of littler rocks, and they are all the same of the same big rock. No difference what so ever. So when we look at the earth, Moon, mars the sun, their all different. So that theory is rubbish.
And we can not honestly stand and look up at the stars and think we are "all that" because we ain't.

You only received 40% because certain people didn't know what the word "universe" means. Yes, God created the heaven and the earth. Who else do they think created it?
Gen.1:1 ,Deut. 4:39, Gen.1:16 etc

Yes. God created the Universe. The Universe is not only those that we can see and touch. This is only the material dimension of what this mysterious creation is made of, a speck of dust compared to what we can yet explore, to further discover and understand.

Try to penetrate beyond this material aspect of creation and you will see the One that is the source of its Universal life, beauty, goodness and order. Holy Writings may give witness to this truth but it is different when you yourself behold this awesome reality.

Holy God, how beautiful is the Universe. It is forever unfolding, revealing gradually the Mystery of your Being.
