How do you think I could get my tea to a drinkable temperature quicker... by pouring the tea, leaving it ten minutes, then putting the cream in, or by pouring the tea, putting the cream in, then leaving it for ten minutes.

If the cream is colder than the tea, it will most certainly cool the tea, since some of the heat in the tea will be transfered to the cream, and some sort of equilibrium will be found. Then the tea will cool with relationship to the air at the same rate, but will have started at a cooler temperature.

When you put cream in your drink, it makes it stay hotter. It puts a film on top of the drink, and keeps the heat trapped in, so pour your tea let it set then top with your cream. That sounds really good, I might have to make a cup.

if i want anything to cool down quicker, i put it in the freezer from 1 minute to a few minutes-no more than 5, its the quickest way and it never fails!
