Rhizobium is a symbiont at the Leguminosae ( bean family) family. When harvested bean, symbiont left to the soil and autolysing itself. It couse rising the nitrogen content of the soil. This procces is supply only nitrogen.

In most symbiotic species it does not supply the plants entire nitrogen needs. Because the bacteria is inside the root nodule what it produces goes just to the symbiont not into the soil. The good part is less fertilizer is needed for the crop and the soil has less nitrogen removed.
