Sure if you like. I always add hard boiled eggs to my tuna salad. You can add anything you like!!

1 sm. (6 1/2 - 7 oz.) can tuna
1/2 c. (2 1/2 oz.) finely chopped celery
1/3 c. chopped onion (1 sm. onion)
1/3 c. (2 1/2 oz.) sweet cucumber relish
4 tbsp. mayonnaise
1 tbsp. salad cream (or use all mayonnaise)
1 coarsely chopped hard boiled egg (opt.)
Salt & pepper
Dash of celery salt or celery seed (opt.)
Dash of fresh lemon juice (opt.)
Lettuce, etc., to serve (see below)

Drain tuna well. Put it in a small bowl and break it apart with a fork. Blend in the celery, onion and relish. Spoon in the mayonnaise and salad cream, and mix again. The consistency should now be about right, not liquid and not too stiff. Add in chopped egg at this point if you choose to use it. Season with salt, pepper and perhaps a little celery salt or celery seed or both, it's up to you! You can add a splash of lemon juice if you're of a mind to do so. Refrigerate, covered until ready to serve.

It's a better of taste. I always add one chopped boiled egg for each small can of tuna. I put a little salt and pepper on the eggs before I mix with the tuna.

I always just add mayo and a little relish. Eggs and tuna just sounds like a bad mix. The tuna stinks pretty bad on its own. But if you're not planning on kissing anyone or sitting too close to anybody then go for it.

You can, but you don't have to. All you really need is tuna and mayo. My mom puts in egg, sweet pickle relish, onion, salt and pepper, and ocassionally green pepper. I hate onion and green pepper in my tuna salad, so I don't add them. I don't always add egg or sweet pickle relish but I do add them on occasion when I want a little variety. Also, I to use a little barbecue sauce in place of salt and pepper for seasoning from time to time. When adding the barbecue sauce, I don't add the relish or egg.

while you're making macaroni salad, then depart out the Tuna on the grounds that makes something else. I make macaroni salad with a pair of sticks of finely chopped celery, a pair of annoying boiled eggs, a 'gentle' mayo, a splash of stone floor mustard and, if i individually want a zing, i'm going to apply merely a splash of basalmic vinegar... and, for sure, salt and pepper to flavor. in case you nonetheless want a crunch you may toss in a splash of Bacos or equivalent.

It's really a choice. If you like boiled eggs put them in there. Me, I like the flavor they give my tuna salad. I also add mayo, sweet pickle relish, finely diced celery and onions. Experiment, there may ingredients that me or others haven't thought about.
Good Luck!!!

I never had them that way before I married my husband and it is now the ONLY way I eat it.

Hard boiled eggs, tuna and mayo on bread, that is like the best way to eat it

I don´t, but it´s only because my Mom didn´t while I was growing up.

When you make tuna salad, use lots of pepper! It brings out the tuna flavor.
