I think that's a false dichotomy; there is no balance between being governed by emotion and logic, and one is not contrary to another.
I've seen studies where patients with brain damage affecting their ability to feel emotion, such as damage to the amygdala, are unable to make basic decisions in life. They spend hours agonizing over the choice of flavor in a drink, are unable to decide whether to take a shower, and have really dysfunctional lives.
So, when people say they aren't letting they're emotions govern them, they're wrong -- people who have damage to the parts of the brain associated with emotion can't function.

Hard to say. I can be emotional but I try not to let it get the upper hand. Logic isn't everything. Take a beautiful sunset, You want emotion for that not logic. It depends on the situation. Both have a place and it logical to use both as needed.

30-40 logic / 60-70+ emotion.
I methodically looked into repairing my Mustang, then just emotionally got rid of it in a heart beat due to overwhelming myself in logic. I over analyze too often.
I can be pretty calm until I hear a child was abused - then I get all murderous.
Of course that's why I took the name 'moderation' - to stay focused - I'm shooting for more self control.
Peace.

About 55 logic and 45 emotion. I'm trying to learn to let go of emotions and try to just ignore things. It actually works. I fell less bad and also think more clearly.

I am far too logical...I have always kept my emotions in check. I will always look for the logical reason for something first....That is one reason why I became a Christian. It was the most logical thing to believe in...I am a lot more emotional now, than I was before I got saved...I am learning to let my emotions out...
The Pentecostal Church's has helped me to not be afraid of showing emotion...How can you love Jesus and realize what he suffered for you and not cry buckets of tears...grateful tears....thank you Jesus....

I could guess 50/50...but it usually depends on how I'm feeling...if I'm mad, the emotion side would swing more towards 100, and when I'm taking a test, the logic would swing more towards 100. So it all depends on how I'm feeling, and the situation.
