like, im a christian and i have lots of friends that are atheists. i dont understand why its such a big deal to some people. i mean, if someone's an atheist, it makes no effect on how i view them as a friend. i just dont understant some peoples mind-sets.

I'm also a Christian with atheist friends. I've never been anti-atheist. People's lack of belief is not a threat to me or my own beliefs. I support the right of individuals to believe (or disbelieve) whatever they want.

People go back and forth with this all the time. Christians vs. Atheists, Atheists vs. Christians. It's just a part of human nature to compete or try to disprove the other. I really wouldn't get too upset by it when you see it here, because it will keep going on for as long as this forum is open to Q&A's. I'm neither atheist or Christian, I just see what I see.

This world needs more people like you. You are right. We often attack people because they don't believe what we believe. There are wars all over the world because of this stupidity and arrogance. If everyone were as ecumenical and truly Christian as you, this world would be such a happy, peaceful place. Just keep being you, and God bless!!!

I have many atheist friends. Im not against them, I just wish they could have what I have. I want the best for them, but keep my religion out of their faces. They can live their own personal lives.

Atheists are equally intolerant and prejudicial. You have pre-judged an entire group that totals in the hundreds of millions of people, assuming we all "get all like anti atheist."
I spend much more time praying and doing my daily business then I do contemplating how much I hate atheists (which I DON'T). You seem like maybe you have exaggerated self image, thinking groups of people are obsessed with your beliefs.

People are afraid of what they don't know, AND it might be because they're afraid of our "taint," as in...our non-belief in any deity...which might spread to them like STAFF infection or something...funny isn't it?
