so i play acoustic and eletric guitar, but i figured id move on try to learn to play bass , anyone know where i can find a bass and such to get started ? Not a junk one but not so expensive either.

Ibanez is pretty good for a starter bass. You can pick up a used one for $200-250. Lot's of good instructional stuff on Youtube. Learn some cool blues walking bass lines so you can always play with other people.

Just pick up a friend's bass and start playing. That's what I do, and I'm better than my friend, since he can only play the bass, and as everyone knows, musicians who just play the bass, and didn't learn on the guitar first, are not real musicians.
