I have never heard of a time factor. Most places encourage the older folks to walk if they are able only makes good sense,to get a bit of activty like walking, keeps them moblie and good for muscles.Sitting and lying a lot causes major health problems, lungs, cicculation issues and heaven forbid skin break down. Check with facility Pt program to see what they do and and how often.

I do volunteering in a nursing home for the elderly, and they generally wake up at their own time. Breakfast is served at two different periods, 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. in the dining room. For those patients who prefer to eat in their own rooms, they can order a breakfast tray any time between 6:30 and 9:00 a.m., so there is no set wake-up times. They are pretty flexible for those who are ambulatory and self-sufficient. Those who are unable to care for themselves, do require more help and regimentation.

I would think that facilities would want everyone up in time for breakfast so that would be a policy of any facility. Wake up would depend on what time breakfast is served.
