My boyfriend has a Mustang GT 2002. It's cherried out and, I must admit that it rocks. However, he's only let me drive it a few time and, while I try to understand that it's his baby...it's only a car!! He keeps it covered, won't drive it in the rain and has the middle space in our garage. Am I being insensitive? I kind of understand, but don't totally understand the rules. Can ya help a sistah out? Spank you!!

Of course I'm not jealous, you twits. I would like to think that other men may give me a better understanding of his thinking. On the other hand, if you are incapable of giving an answer that is not insulting, then give it. Thank you in advance for your cooperation :)

You must understand that there are really only two things a man truly loves, his girl and his car. He will go to any length to protect both. To a man, his car makes a statement about himself, its like a giant ego business card if you will. It tells people at a glance what you're about.

Ok, it's like you have a really crappy cheap bracelet but you love it because your grandfather gave it to you before he died. Why do you love it??? You see, to a guy, a car IS jewelery. We get very sentimental about it. When someone ding's the door, we are pissed because the car is now tainted. The Ford Mustang is an amazing car, I wish I could have one like that but I can't afford it. To know the value of something, just pretend you lost it.

the bond between a man and his car is a VERY strong, complex thing best left "misunderstood". I would just respect his rules for his car and you won't have an issue. I have an 07 Acura TSX and it's black, I get pissed off when my girlfriend touches the paint because black shows everything and touching it with your fingers can scratch it up. She doesn't understand, yet still I am protective of my car.

I think it is just one of those "guy things" that we will NEVER understand. Just be glad it is a car and not another girl.
