The 2008 Ford Escape Hybrid Overall ?

What are your honest opinions overall...
taking into account. fuel efficiency , interior, performance and quality etc..

Since it's release (2005 model year) the Ford Hybrid Escape has had nothing but outstanding reviews & recommendations.
The first fleet of them to New York City taxicab companies are still in use & have logged hundreds of thousands of hours & miles, with absolutely no problems (& still have all the original batteries & equipment). That is saying a lot considering the kind of abuse those vehicles are said to have taken!

The 2008 is a new bodystyle, but uses the same powertrain.

I personally have driven the Hybrid Escape extensively, & DOUBLED my gas mileage versus the non-hybrid version.
Some people are said to get 40-45 miles per gallon.

The performance is just as good, (if not better) than the non-hybrid 6 cylinder version.

It also has the largest available federal tax advantage of all the hybrid vehicles to date!

There is only one drawback ......... that is getting your hands on one!
They sell very quickly & most dealers have a waiting list to buy or order one.

Well, the Escape, overall has had great success in quality since it first launched in 2001, and the hybrid is supposedly even more reliable. It gets up to 34 mpg, although I've heard it can get up to 36 mpg from other sources, has a very stylish interior that looks modern and a lot more stylish than the previous models. It has better acceleration than the normal gas powered Escape, since most hybrids have anyways.
