I have lots of pictures which I want to display in my bedroom and my drawing room.
Instead of buying frames, I thought I would create a collage instead.
One of my friend suggested that I use foamboards to create a collage.
I bought 2 foam boards today. However, I have absolutely no idea as to how to mount it on the wall and decorative tips to stick pictures on the board.
Do any of you know of any website which will give tips to do the same?

Note: I have absolutely no artistic sense (if I were to rate myself, I would give myself 1/10). So I desperately need tips!

You can purchase plastic hangers that you can stick on the back of the foam board at a local art store. Also, they still make little sticky corner pieces for photos that people use in scrap booking. That will hold your pic's. You can consider having them mounted altogether at a frame shop, but it will decrease the "value" of your pic. if it is worth money. There is always spray glue.

Foam core has a tendency to bow, over time. You might need to frame it after all. 3M makes two products you can use for attaching photos; Double Sided Poster Tape (replaceable) and ATG (really permanent). Your local Michaels can give or sell you foam core hangers. You might consider mounting your photos on colored card stock, to look matted. Always lay out your design before peeling and sticking, so you know where everything goes. When you have the composition the way you want it, pick up your photos one at a time to remove the backing, then place it in its spot. I do not recommend spray adhesive. It's messy, expensive, hard to control, and in spite of what it says on the can, it is not archival. My photography instructor said he would flunk anyone he caught using it. Tape products are much easier and cost effective.

There are sprays made to mount photos to board available in craft stores or camera shops. They might not be the "best" choice for mounting a photo, but I'd say they are the best for mounting them on foam board. In fact, for your purposes, pretty much any spray adhesive found in a hardware store or art supply store would be fine. You are not a museum looking for an archival quality mounting technique. This stuff will last for years.

If you don't intend to remove the photos from the foam board, I suggest you use a spray adhesive. It goes on completey flat, with no lumps of glue or stickers.

Be sure to spray in a well ventillated area. Spray away from the other work, THEN bring it to the board. Be sure to know EXACTLY where you will place it, because moving it will be difficult, if not impossible.
