Before u open your mouth think about how cussing take away from the decent person your parents raised u to be.Tape yourself when u cuss so u can hear how low class you sound and the affect it has on the point you are trying to express and ask yourself would you listen to a person who sound the way you do. Breaking this HABIT is like stopping using drugs, only cussing is the drug here.

Avoid triggers. Think about what makes you say those words. And then try to avoid it.
Try acceptable cusswords. Try saying a milder word like, "Shoot!" or "Aww, man!" or or "Schnap!" or "Dang!" or "Freak". They are a more socially approved form that holds the same vulgar meaning.
If a swear word slips out, you can cover it up by adding on an additional word or syllable that turns it into an acceptable expression, such as turning "****" into "Shittake (pronounced ****-ta-kay) Mushrooms."
Supress it until it's just subvocalization. You can also just think the word instead of saying it out loud. This may cause unnatural pauses and flow in how you talk.
Change your habits. Swearing is usually an emotionally intense statement, but it is also vague and unselfcontrolled. Some people say "it is the attempt of a weak mind to express itself forcefully" because it's nearly all emotion. Try speaking the specific reality very clearly and meaningfully, not just emotionally.

uhh well I have tried to stop once or twice. And it is very difficult, but start by taking away something every time you cuss. Or (this isn't exactly a good way) snap your self, NOT HARD!, with a rubber band every time you cuss. Or even since you only cuss around your buddies make up something they can do every time you do cuss.
not the best answer...but it may help =]

Alexis R's suggestion about washing the mouth out with soap should not be disregarded. There's something about it that makes the bad language stop. Just go into the bathroom and coat the entire inside of the mouth with soap -- roof, gums, all over the tongue -- the whole thing. Then lean over the sink and smack your behind a number of times with one of those plastic back-scrubbing brushes that you can find in chain drugstores. Then tell yourself firmly to stop the cussing. Hope that helps!!

One of my friends had a really bad habit of using the f word all of the time. So I we made an agreement one day that every time he used it he would owe me a quarter. Well, after the first couple of times we hung out, he noticed how much it was costing him (sometimes 10 or 15 dollars) and eventually he rarely ever used it.

Just stop trying to say bad words and think of other words to say that mean the same thing. Or if it keeps on being a habit then correct yourself afterword but try to really avoid saying bad words.

Wear a rubber band on your wrist and every time you're about to/or you do curse, snap it against your skin. This will associate pain with cussing for you, and you will stop in a month or so.
